28th January 2007 - OOOooooohhhh a spontaneous song

Hi everyone -

We were at the church today & it's the first time that I have taken my CD recorder in the hope to record the worship.

Half way through the worship time Joanna 'received' a prophetic/spontaneous song.

Absolutely superb - one of the 1st ever songs she has ever received @ the hotel (she has had loads before) & I got it straight to CD.

Ok there are some mistakes in it - BUT it's a start & I believe in starts.

21st January 2007 - The Cinema

Hi everyone -

We had a V.A. Day today at the Odeon Cinema in Bridgend.

Let me explain, every 4th week we do not have our 'normal' meeting at Vale Hotel but we organize something completely different.

This time we all went to the cinema - it was great.

Some of us watched 'Night at the Museum' whilst others watched 'In Pursuit of Happyness' - both films were excellent - we all had a McDonalds afterwards.

It was a great day out.

Sunday 14th January 2007 - Business as Usual

Hi everyone -

Church was FAB today - it began really well.

As we were unloading all of the equipment from the car the Concierge told us we could park right outside the Hotel's main entrance, in one of the Reserved spaces. It was a tremendous help.

The worship was awesome. Pastor Mark Thomas gave the sermon from Leviticus - it was great. A NEW couple attended. In their words 'they just came to suss us out' - but they were very impressed with the service & loved the worship.

Total Attendance = 15

God is Good - See you all soon.

7th January - It's a new year

Hi everyone -

It was our 1st service at the hotel this week. The Christmas tree was gone from the room but it still looked (the room) absolutely fantastic.

The worship was absolutely 1st class & in the weeks that lie ahead we are going to get some video footage & upload it to our website www.church-vale.co.uk

The word/sermon was given by my mother Mrs Mair Evans. It was brilliant & it was really simple. She told us that 'GOD IS WITH US'. Again, in the future we may upload a photograph of Mam if she agrees.

Total Attendance = 16

That's about it for now 'cos i'm watching 'Soapstar Superstar' - which is a singing competition for UK soapstars, it's rubbish but addictive.

OK - So it's 2007 !

Hi everyone -

Posted below are some short notes from our Pastor, Mark Thomas, given in his New Year sermon on Sunday 31st December 2006. Hope they are a help.

• TIME is THE most limited resource we have.
• If we want to 'fly with God' we must get rid of excess baggage, say goodbye to the past.
• Don't be afraid to say NO to other people's baggage.
• You do not need to be in a church of 1000 people to 'fly with God'.

Listed below are specific prophetic words given to members of our congregation.

• Joanna (Worship Leader) - You do not have to immitate anyone else, you are who YOU are. You will reveal the 'Light of Jesus' through your worship.
• Mair & Jeff - You will see 'an older generation' come back to Jesus.
• Bruce & Cat - You will 'plant & pioneer' again this year.
• Rebecca - You will discover the 'strangeness of God' this year.
• Gareth - 'A Media Man' during 2007.
