Hi everyone -
It was a great Carol Concert at church@thevale today. We sang lots of traditional carols & some more modern ones. The children of our congregation sang about 3 songs of their own. Joanna (our worship leader) sang a Christmas song that she had written previously.
After the service we ate mince pies & drank tees & coffees (which are not the normal refreshments after our services).
With regards to the title of this blog we were very surprised to have visitors all the way from South Africa. The 5 of them (all members of the same family) were staying at the hotel, whilst they were on Holidays in Wales. It was great to see them & very glad that they decided to have fellowship with us at church@thevale.
It's now 8.00 pm on Christmas Eve so I have to go now to wrap some last minute presents - bye for now & as always please send us your comments.
Thanks & Happy Christmas
Gareth.

It was really nice to meet the people from South Africa. As Mark said in the service, it is a multi-cultural church ha ha. I didn't get to have a mince pie because I was holding Samuel but that's ok, I expect I'll have plenty of them over the Christmas period. I enjoyed the carols today - I used to hate playing my flute for carols but I really like it now ha ha. I'm looking forward to next sunday's service and the next blog...
